Ecomony Size Shampoo?

I was very excited to find some Rement shampoo bottles on Ebay.  They arrived yesterday and I got to open them today and test them out in the bathroom.

With the pumps on the bottle tops I thought they'd be bigger than an average sized shampoo bottle.  But I'm trying to decide if they're too big?  I have huge shampoo bottles in my bathroom. (Long thick hair = handfuls of shampoo and conditioner.)

But do they look out of proportion here?

It could be due to having one on either side of the faucet.  I could put one on the opposite end of the tub instead.

What do you think?

  1. Honestly? They look a little large to me.. but then, we don't get those supersized bottles over here that you get in America. :) They are impossibly cute. My suggestion would be to take this photo and go to your own bathroom and see if your real ones look this big. For instance, check if the bottles reach from the tub to the top of your sink basin as they do here. Or if the relationship between your real life ones and the taps of the tub is the same as here.
Meanwhile I love the wood tile treatment you have around your tub. It looks great! And you floor tile is very realistic. What did you use?

    1. Hmm...mine seem to be slightly narrower. These look more like 1:16-1:18 scale than 1:12.

Thanks! The wood shower surround is actually a laminate tile sample cut into strips and the floor is a peel and stick from miniatures.com, I used a ball stylus on the lines to make it look a bit more realistic.

  2. They're adorable, but too large. :(

  3. They look great but a bit large. They probably are Barbies scale. You can always glue on a different sticker and use them for the laundry or kitchen cleaning stuff.

    1. I was thinking about that. I might be able to mess around with some clay or pen tubes. Have to see.

  4. Alas, I too think they are too large. They stand out way too much in that first glimpse of the bath... it does ruin the perfection of the rest of your room... :(
I'm sure you will find a good place for them.... they do look so realistic when not next to 1:12 scale items!

    1. Maybe I'll just hang onto them and try to do a Barbie house one of these days. Or try to steal the labels off them and make my own bottles.

  5. Why can't they make perfect replicas like this in true 1:12 scale? Bummer, cause they are soooo adorable!
