China Sets For the Etsy Shop

I've been experimenting lately with things I can put in my Etsy shop and came up with a couple of listings that I think are worthwhile.

I love mini dishes but it seems like they're never modern designs.

First I experimented and came up with a pretty set that I thought Jodi might like for Roz. But Roz's kitchen is already perfectly outfitted and Goldie loved them. So the china is Goldie's now. Roz is such a generous Beary Godmother.

Jodi took these pictures. Even her photography is better than mine!

I came up with two other designs. One with Blue Flowers and another with Country Wildflowers and used the music room box as my display area.

First the Blue Flowers. A Twenty six piece set.

Four dinner plates, four lunch plates, four bowls, four cups and four saucers.

Two large serving bowls, one large platter, two smaller platters and a pitcher.

The Country Wildflowers set is a little different. It has twenty seven pieces.

Four dinner plates, four lunch plates, four bowls, four cups and four saucers.

Two large serving bowls, one large platter, three small platters and a pitcher.

I put them on Etsy this morning so hopefully they'll do well. My plan is that every set is unique.

Filling the Shelves

October has been a crazy month.  Between getting sick, being tired, working on other projects I haven't posted weekly like I usually do.

But I've been telling myself that's okay.  This is for fun. Not a job. No rigid schedule.

I've gotten some things done.  Stained the table for the living quarters, wired the light on the bureau.  Made a 'crocheted' coverlet for the bed. Though I like it hung over the footrail better.

And I got all my books and started to fill my shelves.

I have more left, and I'm planning on having some window display books. (Need to make stands for them.)  And I want to have extra books stacked on top of the shelves as well.  But I'm almost at the point of being able to glue the book shelves in place and do the wiring.  I really can't wait for that. It'll be so much fun!

And by fun I mean involving a lot of cursing, bending, hollering at the cats to get away from me, and ultimate satisfaction of everything lighting up the way I want.

Oh, and here's the other pumpkin scene I did.

Right now my work place has both pumpkins on the side table in the lobby at my workplace.  Which is very cool of them.

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary.  So hopefully work won't be too cray cray and I'll get to leave at a decent hour.

Hope you all had a great October!

Open! And Some Progress on the Bookshop

I'll start off by saying that I wanted to have more done in the way of stock but I got sick on Friday and really didn't get a whole lot accomplished this weekend.

I did get some of the sconces glued to the bookshelves of the shop.

And I found some other printies, so I'm using yet another method of making books

They look a little battered so the first attempts will probably get put somewhere they aren't easily seen.  I'll get better at assembly as I go.

Then I spent the rest of the day getting some better pictures taken of the lanterns and setting up the Etsy Shop.

Here are a few pictures:

I figured out how to put a link up on the sidebar if anyone wants to visit my shop.  And...that was pretty much it for my weekend.  Still not feeling one hundred percent but I'll live.  Over the counter cold meds are my friends.

Hope everyone else is feeling much better than I am and that you had a great weekend.
