Last Post of 2018

Kristine asked me if I'd take some pictures of the Wicked Queen's Retirement Cottage at night with all the lights on.

I'm still no great shakes at photography but I did my best.

The lights don't show in the tower very well.

The pictures didn't come out too badly.

  1. Oh those windows! What a tranquil ambiance the soft glow puts out! The photos are lovely, Sheila! And the table it's displayed on is perfect!

  2. Your WQR Cottage is a true gem, Sheila, it looks so peaceful and beautiful with the lights on. And yes, it must be difficult to photograph it well, since it is a complex building and has so many intricated, wonderful details, but these pictures are lovely!
Despite all, I want to wish you a Happy New Year, good helath and a creative 2019!
    Hugs, Ilona

  4. Happy New Year Sheila! I love viewing a lit dollhouse at night! (I spend many an evening with mine lit up!) The Wicked Queen's Cottage looks awesome to me in any light! I will be thinking for a long time about the many many fantastic things you made for this build! It is so inspiring to see it all finished too! (I am so slow to finish things!) I hope the New Year brings you more fantastic mini creative time too! :):)

  5. Happy New Year! What a great warm reddish-yellowish glow from the bottom windows. It really fits its ambience. What a fabulous build and what an achievement for 2018! I honestly don't know how you do it. Wishing you a happy, healthy and mini-filled 2019!

  6. The shadows and dusky moodiness contrasting with the warmth of the interior lighting, give this cottage even more realism!
