Open! And Some Progress on the Bookshop

I'll start off by saying that I wanted to have more done in the way of stock but I got sick on Friday and really didn't get a whole lot accomplished this weekend.

I did get some of the sconces glued to the bookshelves of the shop.

And I found some other printies, so I'm using yet another method of making books

They look a little battered so the first attempts will probably get put somewhere they aren't easily seen.  I'll get better at assembly as I go.

Then I spent the rest of the day getting some better pictures taken of the lanterns and setting up the Etsy Shop.

Here are a few pictures:

I figured out how to put a link up on the sidebar if anyone wants to visit my shop.  And...that was pretty much it for my weekend.  Still not feeling one hundred percent but I'll live.  Over the counter cold meds are my friends.

Hope everyone else is feeling much better than I am and that you had a great weekend.

  1. I hope you feel better soon! I got sick 8 days after the kids started school. I couldn't believe it, I thought I was all rejuvenated after the summer, but 8 days in and I was flattened. When I took my kids to get shots, I asked if anything was going around and she said, "schools back in session, everything's going around!" So it looks like you got a lot done while sick! I am excited to go check out your Etsy shop!

  5. Hi Sheila. I am glad to hear you are on the mend but it can take some time to really get past these things. The lanterns are beautiful and I am impressed you still managed to get stuff done whilst sick!

  7. Ugh! I caught a cold that's been going around. Slowly recovering, but it has a nasty cough associated with it, and I've mostly just slept for the past few days. Anyway, good for you for making progress in spite of health issues, and congratulations on the new Etsy store. That is very exciting! I hope you make lots of sales (and feel better soon!)

  9. Hi Sheila! I really hope you're feeling a bit better by now?
It has been too long that I stayed away from blogs, but here I am again ;).
I see you're still making books for your shop, oh my, how many books do you have already now?? I bet lots!! But that's good for the diversity, these ones are no exception.
Your lanterns are wanted I see? You've even set up an Etsy-shop.
They look lovely, so much variety in subjects: great!! I wish you good luck in selling them!
Take care for yourself, get well soon, dear friend!
Thank you so much for your comments on my blog, during my time off my blog. Despite all, I read them all, it's so much appreciated by me: thank you!
    Hugs, Ilona

  10. Hi Sheila! I hope you are feeling better! (I have been dealing with a "little" cold for what seems like weeks now! So I can sympathize!) I have fallen way behind on all my "schedules" as well as keeping up with blogs and comments... Too much to do! But the minis are the fun part... so I don't want to skimp on them! LOL! Your lanterns are looking very festive... and are scaring me about how soon the Christmas season starts! I have only just gotten to summer in my little world! LOL! I am also watching your bookmaking very closely... I do have a lot of shelves to fill myself... and now that the lilac blossoms and leaves are out of the way I just might not have any excuses left and should just get busy!!! You are an inspiration! Keep up the great work! :):):)

  11. Your lanterns are gorgeous, and I love your Etsy shop, followed and liked! As is usual these days, I'm weeks behind with my blog reading. I'm sure you're feeling better already so I will just wish you continued good health and throw in a wish for extra crafting time this weekend.
