Decisions Decisions

I had a couple of ideas for the 2018 Creatin' Contest Kit.  One of them was fairly normal, if difficult to pull off.  The other one is really out there and way more complex.

I put both ideas to my husband and the first one he was like 'yeah...okay'.  But the second one he was all 'yeah that! do that!'.

And honestly the second idea really appeals to the nerd in me a lot more.

I don't really want to say what it is yet.  It's going to take a lot of research and learning to pull off properly.  Probably more than when I was working on NOLA House.  And oh man...the work.

But if I can do it I'm going to really enjoy this house.  Sooo... some hints maybe?  Maybe you'd like to take a few guesses.

Soo... thoughts?

  1. What great pictures! They don't really seem to relate to each other, except for being English. The fireplace in the dining room might be Colonial. I do love each one of these photos.

    1. Technically yes the fireplace is colonial, though during that time period fireplaces were very similar in the colonies and Europe.

Sorry my hints aren't as hinty as they could be.

  2. Hagrid's hut? Though the pictures look a bit fancy for that....they look intimidating!

  8. My guess is a sort of Medieval castle in a fantasy land where dragons exist :-). Whatever it will be, I'm sure it will be again very interesting to follow the progress :-)

    1. Thank you! I don't think dragons exist in the country where I'm setting it but you never know.

  9. Looks a little Tudor-ish to me, but with all that wonderful inspiration pictures, you could come up with anything! This is going to be so much fun. Already looking forward to your posts as you work on it.

    3. I suppose I shouldn't label things so obviously if I'm trying to keep a secret huh?

I'm so bad at this mysterious stuff.

    4. You'd better re-label it before someone else stumbles across it.

I don't think it'll take too much longer for me to spill the beans. I'm working on an idea for the door and I'll probably try to post that when I get something done.
