Laundry Room Part II

Well this weekend I finished my little laundry room box.  I worked on it for half of Saturday and then goofed around mostly.

But I'm pretty happy with how it came out.

I like that it's with things I already had so I didn't spend any money on it.

I had to put one pink fuzzy sock on the clothes line just so that everyone knows that this washer/dryer set also eats socks.  So Megan, your question is answered!

And my husband brought home a bunch of books the library was going to get rid of so I can get started on my room box.

I'll take the dust jackets off them and start to get the pages glued together soon.

Of course we have football going on too so I'll end up watching that.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

  1. I love your laundry room! It is so bright and cheerful. I have thought about doing one so that it will cheer up our laundry room. Are you going to put it above your RL washer/dryer? Love the hanging laundry too!

  2. This simple little project turned out stunning! Simple yet with a very relatable homey feel.
I'm so glad to know that your washer and drier are functioning normally re socks. In the next wash, to make lots of interesting matching pink socks that no one wants to wear, try sneaking a red paper serviette in with a bundle of whites :-)))

  7. I think that your little laundry room turned out Beautifully Sheila! AND what a nice surprise to see the vintage washer/dryer salt and pepper shakers you've used.
I first saw and remember them featured in an old Chrysnbon Cut-Ups publication which I've never forgotten, and have admired them ever since. Last September I found a set at the Vancouver miniature show and I now have them on standby waiting for a future project.
Meanwhile, seeing what you've done inside the Tide container is really 'CHEER-ful" and shows them off to Perfection, especially with that ONE SOCK on the clothesline: something we can ALL relate to!

  8. What a wonderful laundry room! And what a great stash you must have to have all those little items on hand. I really love the little bottles of Tide and Clorox. (Be careful for that sweater, though! We wouldn't want it ruined in the wash. 😊) Really looking forward to how you work with the books. I've seen those room boxes, but never watched one being made.

And the pile of old books for building your new room-box look great... what a good thing to have a Librarian to choose the right books! :):)

  12. This was really a fun project - I enjoyed looking at your finished scene very much. What a great thing that you had all the items in your stash - including the tiny bottle matching the big one which became the host of your scene. And now we know that even the miniature world isn't perfect - small dryers eat socks too… A very funny detail!

So good that you got the needed books to start your big project - I'm looking forward to see your start.

    Greetings
    Birgit
