No, I think those 'formal' pleats showed up a bit later, so I'm going to work on the tower a bit more today and then see if I can do some looser folds to give the appearance of full width curtains while keeping them open around the bed. I like the more open look of the pattern... soft drapes and partly "closed" panels would be my choice.... they pulled the curtains closed to keep the warmth in and the drafts out... so perhaps she has only opened them part way....? I look forward to seeing what you come up with! :):)Daydreamerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06170115485686244907noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927995920080917290.post-80783437207777707982018-10-28T09:11:13.656-05:002018-10-28T09:11:13.656-05:00Hi Drora! I'm going to hunt up my aluminum foil and see what I can do.Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074992134112478195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927995920080917290.post-51840071658134257472018-10-28T09:02:22.199-05:002018-10-28T09:02:22.199-05:00I went back to your previous post to see the beds....I went back to your previous post to see the beds. I rather loved the second photo which shows wide pleats where you can see the design. My friend Goldie who is an experienced miniaturist, uses aluminum paper underneath the fabric folds. Could be good for this fabric.
Hugs, DroraDrora's minimundohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03121137317566476061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927995920080917290.post-9927364589206829452018-10-27T14:07:07.160-05:002018-10-27T14:07:07.160-05:00It's a synthetic so yeah, it's not the eas...It's a synthetic so yeah, it's not the easiest to deal with. Keli saw it on Instagram and suggested pleats at the corners and a bit more flat in the middle so we see the design. Which is similar to your idea. I'm thinkin I could use it as a bed skirt so we get a glimpse of it under the lace, if I shorten the sheet a bit that could work.
Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074992134112478195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927995920080917290.post-9349037152103023922018-10-27T13:57:42.987-05:002018-10-27T13:57:42.987-05:00The fabric looks very difficult to work with! So we would see the design on some panels and then on others it would be hidden in the pleats? Maybe by adding this material to the bedding you've already made? Some of your inspiration photos show it used for the curtains and bedding.
Kristine PaperDollMiniatureshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04348940337267272223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7927995920080917290.post-51994232771797638152018-10-27T13:36:10.803-05:002018-10-27T13:36:10.803-05:00Yeah that's my thing too... Maybe you can try making one or two pleads in the middle of the panel, something like on this photo you showed in previous post: https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iZVCQn3vZN8/W9EhYLXk7PI/AAAAAAAAK9k/ULq1SkkcUGQXcy0qnxFniN6ycNP36NzhQCEwYBhgL/s1600/955acf48d4499dd532f3b46e154ff626.jpgKameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07612429999172816358noreply@blogger.com
